The split!!

Ok, this is my first attempt at the good photo editing. It's not too impressive compared to others I've seen. I used the macro option, it's a 4.0 megapixel... if anyone has any advice on how to make these better let me know.
Anyway, my anemone split yesterday! These are pictures throughout the day yesterday as he split, and the last picture is from today. The little guy seems to be a little stressed. I guess that's normal?

And the ocellaris is thinking "Just great, now I have to protect TWO homes!" :jumping:
How long have you had the anemone?

and since I don't have enough for a six pack... here are a few extras in my tank.
1.) The lone survivor of the frag tragedy of '06. I lost 6 green elephant ears, this guy better prosper and grow soon

2.) Not quite sure, he's a ricordea right?
3.) Ditto #2 (and if you look really close to his left, there is a beautiful flourescent yellow ricordea that this other bad boy has decided to overcast and probably kill eventually)
4.) I don't know what kind of mushroom this is... but the picture just does not do justice for it. It's the prettiest I have imo!

Haha, that is Dotty and rather than her crowding both I was kind of hoping she would let Harold have one... poor guy has to host the filter and powerheads.
I haven't had the anemone too long actually, maybe a few months? I am suprised it split. My water quality is fine (I guess) but I have been battling hair algae FOREVER now (and some red slime). I always thought splits would only occur if water conditions were pristine. Am I incorrect? They don't ever split and it be a bad thing, do they?
I always assumed the hair algae was the reason my trates were always 0, but I have added an in tank refugium and I put the skimmer back on... and still the hair algae grows and grows and grows. It's getting really bad. I just recently changed my lights but that hasn't helped any. Apparently no one told my LMB that he's supposed to eat hair algae.

Wow, I dont belaive I missed this thread.
The photos are fine and nice to see some shots in progress.
Good job.
The anemones look good so far and often can look a little strange the first few days after spitting. I hope they heal up nice for you and you have the room for two to grow now.
Nice shrooms too. 2 and 3 are Rics.
