Ok I am new to reef and nano...
Got the tank @ Yard sale for $5..$37 for stand I am using rock and sand from other tanks, water from fish store......two days later $125 online for upgrades to tank...The is no such thing a free kitten.
Ok so now the tank is up and running I will be adding upgrades when they come in the mail anyday now. 12g JBJ nano cube with 24w light.
Here is the question....If you were me what would be the first addition to the tank..I know i am limited but thats ok just learning.

Looking good! well first cycle your tank! once your done with that then you worry about what to get! sorry

I saw this light and was going to do that with this light but I placed my order online and forgot to order the light I will have to wait a week or two. I hope with this light I can keep the hood on. I have 3 dogs and a cat so I like the hoods to keep the hair out.
In the second camber I did add carbon in a bag but I think I will take out the sponges ( I don't like them very much) and go with the filter floss.
