Gosh your off to a good start. Probably much better than most of us were. Just keep doing research and be patient. Oh yeah-2 clowns can be kept in the same tank.

Wow, all this stuff that i've looked at, like getting corals and doing acclimation.....it all seems so hard, it just gets me kind of down because it seems so challenging, fw is so much easier to do...I need some encounragement, i mean getting the beautiful sw fish is a greate encouragement, but i just don't know if i can handle doing all this work. Especially since im moving in like 2 months....i don't know what im gonna do...

I'm just curious, could the entire tank gang fit in a 150 gal? If so that's what i hope we are going to do, i mean my parents would be all for it since im basically an only child since my brother and sister moved out.

The entire "Tank Gang" could fit in a 150 of course and some. Your problem is that some fish in the gang may not be as friendly to each other as in the movie. Do some research on their compatibility before you attempt to put "the gang" together. Oh btw, "Gil" would be a poor choice even for an experience aquarist to keep given their picky eating habits.

tell us more about your moving situation. it would be a bad idea to set up a 150 gallon tank when you are about to move. how far away?
and dont get discouraged before you even start! saltwater aquariums are SO worth it! taking your time and learning from other peoples mistakes (visit the message boards often!) will save you a lot of time, money and heartache!

You don't have to get discouraged. I also felt the same way, I just didn't know if I could handle all the work it took to keep the tank going. Just take things one step at a time and try to keep it simple as possible. Since you want to start up a 150 g, thats great, but I would try a smaller tank first, just so you can see whats its like on a smaller scale.
After reading this thread, I went and saw finding nemo last night, and yes you could keep all the fish from the movie together, except of course gill. I believe there is a type of butterfly fish that looks very similar to Gill, so that might work instead.
Also get used to mixing up salt water in buckets, except when first filling the tank. When you are ready for some fish, I would get the clowns first as far as fish go. Have your cleaner crew in before hand, and everything should work out. Once you get the hang of everything, it becomes easier and easier, and then you too will be able to give advice to others who are starting out just like you had. Make sure you research each and every fish, so you know their eating habits, what they like and who they get along with. Also do a search for compatibility chart on the web, that would be a helpful starting. Keep the questions coming and we will try to help in anyway we can. ;) :)

You're all right, i won't get discouraged anymore, i think it was just the way my day WAS going yesterday, i feel much better today. My moving distance is nothing, the LFS (still don't know what that means but i've seen people use it so im trying it :p) told me that the distance would be fine, it's about 11 and a half miles, see nothing big. A fifteen minute trip if you're obeying the laws HAHA!!! Well anyways, i don't know if we're setting up the 150 gal. in this house or the new one, either is fine with me, in the mean time im going to get my 30 gal. up and going, my LFS said it would be easy to take the fish to my new house, he said i wouldn't have to acclimate, at least...i think he did... Hehe, bad memory, it was only Saturday.
