There is NOTHING, then there are THINGS. The black dark of space would be NOTHING, or absence of anything. However you want to look at it. NOW all the things in the universe are THINGS. They exist because they are matter. Otherwise considered THINGS. Now everything acts differently and some things react different when exposed to various other things. Most things move, this causes these things to react eventually with other things. The thing is, we don't know how long theses things have been doing their thing, moving around in nothing, that is. Absolutely if you took away everything, you would have nothing. And since nothing must exist without anything it continues on just like everything else does. Likewise, you cannot have nothing without having something. Since nothing is again the absence of everything, or anything, however you want to look at it. So, the galaxies and all their anomalies are actually part of nothing. This would include us. Since we are a part of nothing, which is vast expansion of everything there must be more like us, or something.
