Uh, seahorses are fish.
I've been told that you can't post links to other sites, per this forum's rules, so... allow me to quote wikipedia:

Kindly go to google.com and search on "seahorse wiki", and you'll find that the first link offered will take you to this page.

P.S. I'll refrain from any rude comments, but the tone of your post is most unkind. Please consider how others are going to read your post before you comment, particularly when you are demonstably incorrect in your assumptions.

OK I wasn't sure. All fish have backbones so if it's a fish it's a vertebrate.

I just noticed that the seattle person was 11 according to their profile, and it might explain why they were so rude to you/your husband.
Have a good night!

Another great bonus to having same gender seahorses (although they definitely need their own names!) is that you can say simply "the boys" or "the girls".

How did and exciting post about seahorses turn so mean? Who cares weather they are fish or not. We are excited for you!
