So i set up my new tank a few weeks ago and now my tank is coved in diatoms , i am using both RO and tap water. tap to start and RO ever since. I also have an aqua clear 30 running .. so will they ever go away ?

Diatoms are a sign of a new tank.
They will go away and are perfectly natural. Many tanks experience a bloom.

so should i be scrubbing them off the glass, also when can i add my clean up crew

Algae/detris eaters, AKA the cleanup crew, don't realy eat diatoms. Some will pick, but they will likely starve in your tank right now. You can wipe the diatoms off of your glass. Be patient, they will subside.
