I have some orange zoos on my sand bed. They look crowded but have room to grow behind them on the rest of the structure.
I noticed today that a tiny orange zoo that looks alot like mine is growing right in the middle of my pink star polyps! How did it get there? The stars are about 7'' (I think) up on a rock.
I got these stars about 2 weeks ago.
Do I need to remove it?

I'm also interested in the how did it get there part of the question. Did a crab move it? Or do the zoos somehow send "seeds" around the tank? I have some zoos that I would love to have spread in this manner.

Sometimes a zoo head can break off from the original colony from whatever reason and pop up somewhere else in the tank.

yup. my tank is bursting from the seems with zoas right now i dont know what to do with them. in the front there are just single polyps all over the sand waiting to connect to something, and when they do they just multiply.

+1. zoas & palys grow like crazy in my tank. every once in a while ill chop a few heads off and just toss them in the tank to attach and grow where they want to. its cool to turn a rock around and find 20 little zoa heads growin there.

I have a few shrooms growing in my zoos but I like seeing corals mix it up and get along together like that :)
Looks like your tank is coming along nicely -- nice and clean too!
