Thermostat is set at 66....until my husband comes home and kicks it up to 72. Then I have to wait for him to go to sleep to knock it down to about 66 or I cannot for the life of me get any sleep lol.

Ours is set at 68. Last year I was running it at 72-74 until I saw the bills. Now we just have more blankets around. There's two comforters on our bed, one is down. I still freeze. On nights my b/f works I let the dogs on the bed to keep me warm.

73 Winter....77 Summer (which equals about $450 a month in electricity in Summer), my wife is rather picky about temp. At least I don't need a chiller or heater in the fish tanks.

About 70° in winter and 73° the rest of the year. I pay fixed utlities, but any cooler and the stupid thing runs constantly and freezes over

during the day now i keep it at 70 and 65 at night i sleep better when its cool. During the summer i keep the central air at 70 round the clock. Its gets so stinking humid in wisconsin in the summer if you have never been here you couldn't understand. Can't even think about leaving a window open in july.

If I was worried about the cost of where I set my thermostat I wouldn't have 2 reef tanks with metal halides running on them

Hey, aren't you the one with the $900 power bill? Have you figured out how it gets so expensive each month?
yes- paid 1300 bucks to get the gas put in and turned on switched out water heaters for gas so now my hot water and heat for the house are 40 bucks , have not got my new electric bill since the change but it shouldnt be too bad -we will see i guess
-- that is a relief cause i do not think i could handle another one of those

70 during winter, and it fluctuates during the summer. In the middle of the night it goes down to about 70 and then goes up to 76 at the warmest part of the day, seems to be the most cost effective way of keeping cool.

Winter never goes below 73 and summer (here in Fl) is around 78/ 79.
NC was 74, but up there, that was actually an attainable temp, lol
