Geez after all of that. When I turned out the light, all three of my pepperment shrimp are alive! It was molting. Dang, that looked like a body. Duh. Sandy
When my cleaner molted the first time, the shell looked exactly like him to the color. I was so worried I had actually thought he died. Funny lesson to learn about the life of a shrimp! <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />
someone posted awhile back about their attempt to save a cleaner shrimp... HAHA.. I dont remember who it was.. or even the facts of the story.. but basically.. they setup a Q~tank, added copper and spent a few hundred dollars on treatments.. then looked in the main tank and said.. "oh $#it, there's my shrimp" *LOL.. so dont feel bad..
sorry to whoever's story I am ruining.. but I still think its funny and relevant..

No reason to get rid of molts (ie.skeleton). Ads calcium back into the system, a very important part of the system, IMO.
My cleaner shrimp did it and I also thought shrimp had died. easy to happen since it wears them out and they hide for a while. That's funny about the person who q'd the exoskeleton!
