Words hurt, yes, but who was it who started the old saying 'truth hurts baby"?
First off I am here to be friendly to all.. let me start by telling you this. I have a friend who owns a resturant called Saltwater Grill in Panama City, FL. IN touring his tank room and climbing a 12 foot ladder to see the top of the tank, a beautiful queen trigger comes to the surface awaiting her snack. She is almost 3 feet in length and georgeous! Guess where he got her? ......
A customer, (such as yourself) was too eager in owning such a beauty and put her in too small of a tank along with a couple of other agressives (not sure what). This customer's too small of a tank was 750g.
This resturant owners tank is 25,000g. THIS QUEEN TRIGGER is happy and healthy. That is the difference.
What we all must respect and remember is this (and I am sure I am a baby in this area compared to many many of the advice givers on this site, let alone the one's above givng you advice/critisim whichever you want to call it.) ... we as hobbyist are removing God's beautiful specimens from their happy homes in the wild and placing them into a 6x3 space (if the specimin is even lucky) and expecting them to bring us peace, joy, etc.
Stop and THINK for a moment (close your eyes if you have to)... what happiness, peace and joy are you bringing to your tank?
Ok.. emotional stuff aside.. if nothing else.. think in these terms... by feeding your fish to happiness, you are now raising your ammonia levels to perpetious levels and now noone is happy. Soon thereafter nitrites and nitrates are going to go whack. This stresses fish and a stressed fish.. is a nasty and postal fish. Not to mention that you must throw obvious temperment into play.
WHETHER OR NOT these people are trigger owners.. they know the facts. Besides.. what made you buy 400$ worth of fish on a whim science project? That is, IF truly if you do own the pre-described tank. :notsure:
