Why are they always so darn cute? I mean seriously, every nano I have seen is so pretty, clean, and nice looking. So why is there such a "no no" thing about them? I know about the whole water chemistry thing.
Has anyone seen a 100gallon that looks ugly compared to a 10gallon nano? I sure have....

yea i have. i guess they say that since the nano are so small if anything dies the trates go sky high! while in a normal size tank if something dies your tank wont show any sign. i think also the only reason nano are so beautiful is cause the size of them make you have so much corals and such in frag size. while in bigger tanks you have to buy mother colonys so they can come out more.

If you get the HQI you can just go ahead and put corals and stuff in it... I will have to upgrade my biocube before I can put the one I want in. I think Oceanic makes an HQI too though...

There isn't. That's outdated information.
Seriously, they are greater tanks for newbies. They contain all necessary filtration, they allow you to get into more advanced parts of the hobby (corals, lighting, DIY mods) in a controlled setting, and they are able to be setup for several hundred, rather than several thousand dollars.
