yes it's a beautiful fish, funny personality, I asked for it, and I'll be keeping him. I have to get him a bigger home ( and put an addition on the house possibly )I think a 120 will work.

That's awesome. And now you get to go get a 100+ gal? Hmmm, I wonder if I get a super large fish, if my wife will let me go get a huge tank... doubt it. Awesome fish btw... but kitchen table! Awesome!!!!

You have no idea how it grosses me out when someone says something like "my wife/husband wouldn't allow it". You're theoretically an adult.
Oh! and I once got a call from the local *****. They has been expecting a medium sized Naso in an order and wound up with a 7-8" fish. They were afraid for it in their sales tanks so they asked if I wanted it for $40...what they would normally ask for a medium sized Naso. Sometimes the mis-sized fish works to our advantage!

Sometimes you can hook up with a partner that really isn't into this stuff at all, like the "can't you put that in the basement" type. Then there are other types, like the " a 55 gallon tank is a good idea as the headboard for the bed in the MBR" ( that was great but NOT good fung shui, LMAO ). I guess everyone has their own idea of mature/adult behavior in the house. My situation is more different than ever, she comes home from work, tests all the tanks parameters, and starts insisting that I do a partial water change on this tank or that one...... ( my tanks ) BTW, HER tanks are HER tanks, and I don't mess with them AT ALL. She is new to this and has become a worse fanatic than I am.

I hate it when that happens. i ordered a picasso trigger last week, and they sent me one that is like 4 inches long. the biggest thing in my tank. i will have to put on instructions about no substitutions or special size limits.

Yeah, I have a view of my tank from my bedroom, I just stare at it till I fall asleep, and my fiance wonders how I sleep so well.

Well, my wife is really cool about it all... just doesn't like the idea of a ton more $$$ going into a new tank. Once I finally get done with residency... then that's the first big purchase for sure!
And... I was getting in trouble for spending as much time with the tank as with my wife and 2 kids...
Anyway... hijacking your thread here! Did you end up going with the 125? Definitely keep us updated.
And do you have video capability? That would be a cool sight to see that thing in action!

Major dilemma here. Before the monster got here, the LFS guy gave me a great deal on a 75 , and I said I'd talk to him this week. So, I went in Saturday to get another 50 lbs of food for the trigger and the dogs, anyway, he wasn't there but I saw the 120, and there were 2- 220's drilled out , so now I'm up Shmits creek here, I'm waiting for a price on both of those tanks, but have a 75 coming in Wed. I hate when this happens
BTW, I do have video capability on my Canon Powershot, it took me an entire weekend to downsize the file for a video to my daughter a few months back ( you send it website ) anyway it's a good project now that you mention it ( the video ) it's a riot to see this fish eat full sized shrimp, and blow giant craters in the black sandbed.

Beautiful nightmare! Love the way he looks. You need a 180 or 225 gallon and he can be the conversation piece.
