two days ago i bought some button polyps from my LFS and due to the move in the bag, they closed up...i thought they would open up after a couple hours in the tank...but its been two days now and still closed up..there where a couple that opened up a little bit..but no more than a little...i checked my water and everything is fine..
ammonia=0
nitrate=5
nitrite=0
PH=8.2
calcium=450
i have 5watts per gallon..with pc light and the polyps are like half way up the tank..
any help would be great :confused: :confused:

Chances are that they are just not willing to trust their new environment right now. I have had mine in the tank for about 3 months and the entire colony just started "trusting" the habitat around them about 1 month ago. Give them time to get used to the lighting and water and neighbors. Remember, only bad things happen quickly.

I have a few new baby ones since I put them in 3 months ago, but as far as leaving the rock they havent yet, I had one actually jump ship, and I grabbed him up and stuck him in a hole a few days ago, he seems to have anchored himself quite well.

when i transplant mine it always takes them atleast a month to stick to the rocks but after that they spread like weeds....
most of the zoos i get from places open up within one hour.... only one conlony i got took 3 days... but i didnt acclumate those and that might be why

your water could be different, lights could be different, stuff could be walking over them like hermits, as long as they dont start looking like there melting im sure there fine, sometimes mine close up for a few days but then all open back up in force, give it time.
