found this little shrimp thing in my filter. It was about 3/4 of a inch long, had alot of legs on one side and was really quick until I plucked him out with some tweezers. Just doing routine cleaning and saw him swimming around in my fluval 404...any ideas what it is..tried a pic but he was so small it came up kinda blurry when I blew it up...sorry

is this the most common bristle worm encountered by hobbyists, I thought it was a bristle worm but it seemed more shrimp like..

its just a copepod. good for your tank. you'll probably see more and more of them as your tank matures.

Amphipod or copepod. When we change filters we pick out like 50 of them and throw them back in the tank, they are good:D Here is a link for info on them pods about halfway down the page click on ..."other crustaceans..."

darn, I tbink I killed the only one in my tank that Ive seen. I thought these little pinpoint size things crawling on the glass and botton were pods.
