1. Never ever put new fish in your main reef tank (where you also house a colt coral and bubble anenome) without having a q tank for problems like ich, which 3 of my fish now have.
2. There are varying opinions on exactly how low you have to go to reach hyposalinity.
3. When you are up most of the night and have finally passed out, Mini schnauzers can sqeeze themselves so little that they can fit behind your fish tank stand and steal your flake fish food out. Airdales can open the food. Schnauzers then have diarrhea all over your carpet while you are getting your 2 hours of sleep. Airdales seem to handle fish food well.
4. When, after almost no sleep and lots of worry you call your lfs 3 hours before they open and they are there and say you can come by they don't mean during the lunch hour.
5. Learning how to use your siphon hose properly is a good idea, then you don't have to climb on a chair, and pour tank water into 1 gallon containers using a cup, 5 times.
6. Fish like Riviera Paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughn, I like

It sucks being up all night over a fish...I was up all night before with my tang. he got stress from the water change we did that day, lost all his color and such.
what are Airdales?
How are the fish doing now? hope they pull through!

Thanks sinners girl and Airdales are large wire haired terriers, brown with black saddle, very cool dogs! I haven't noticed much change in the fish yet, getting help in the disease forum. At least the fish are eating well and actin fairly normal.

Thanks for the laugh! I had a crappy day!My dogs also get into EVERYTHING, My beagle mix got one of the reagent bottles of my phosphate test and it had sulfuric acid in it, the dogs ok but my carpet has a big black burn mark now. Hope your fish pull through okay.

if it makes you feel any better...two cats can team up great and get into lots of trouble too! especially with fish in the house!
ever seen a cat drink salt water??
hopefully your dogs are unable to jump to top of tank. BTW, I have found small power head and some tubing. do great for quick water changes.
