Yes. Or people who don't like kids.
people who don't like kids are simply looking out for their own safety and well being. children are a massive liability these days. breathe wrong near a schoolyard and you're on the pervvy list for life.

i'm not about to explain y i don't like following sports, either, so don't ask. and i'm not about to ask about your obsession, so don't feel like you need to explain. it's simply different. there's nothing "off" or "wrong" about it.
Why can't you live around here?

I'm stuck in the middle of Buckeye country. Football is ALL you here about (well, that and the election)

I don't really care for pro football, but I watch college ball from time to time. It just seems more "real" to me.....dunno why.

Other than that and the olympics, I don't go out of my way to tune in to a game. And no, I don't own, nor have ever shot, a gun, so there goes my manliness factor. OTOH, I love kids; babies, toddlers, screamers, you name it...I get along with 'em all, so my "husband material" factor is in the right spot. At least, I hope my wife thinks so!

I do not get why people are so crazy about football. People think you are fruity if you do not like it, But they are the ones watching a bunch of guys grope each other. And not to mention the QB putting his hand in the other guys crotch and all the butt slapping when someone makes a good play?

I have absolutely ZERO interest in sports whatsoever. I like to play a little volleyball here and there but that is it. Dont watch sports, dont like sports, dont even really like talking about sports.
Does that make me strange? I dont think so at all. I have lots of other things that keep me busy.
And no, I'm not gay. I am happily married with an amazing wife, a house, dog, good job. Just no interest in watching a bunch of grown men run around with a ball, which is basically what ALL major sports are. I am also not really into guns but I have shot a number. Just dont own any. I do collect swords though, which should count for something on the "man factor" :)

It's not that there's anything wrong with this... I just don't get it.
Something about sports brings out the competetive nature of guys... gets out testosterone flowing. Not only that but it's the most common way that I know for men to relate to one another. An easy way to talk and hang out. Like I said, I just don't get guys that have no interest in any sport.

you said guys who don't like sports make you think that they are a little "off." you said, and I quote, that you "find it a little strange." and it "makes (you) think there is something a little bit strange about them."
...now I don't know about anyone else, but to me, that all sounds a little bit like it's got a negative connotation.
...just a little bit.

OK... yes I do think it's a bit strange. That and the fact that every guy that I've ever met who doesn't like sports was a bit unusual. Maybe it's just me, I just don't understand.

I had a friend that liked playing sports, he just hated watching sports. I think that stems from a bad childhood experience. He was a little hyper, but he always stressed easily, so every Sunday when his parents were cheering/yelling, he absolutely hated it.
But for like, not even enjoy playing sports, yea
, that would seem weird. It's really just instinctive to be a bit competitive, is it just ball sports (golf, baseball, etc), or do they like some other stuff, like cars, or poker?

I'm off. I'm strange.
I'd rather stare at the sun through binoculars than watch sports. Sometimes I can spend a few minutes in conversation regarding the KC Chiefs, but that's the extent of my interest.

I don't get it, most of my friends, aren't sports people, (that really ticks me off) then they look at me strange when I say, no I'm not going out the friggen TU saw-em-off horns and Tech are playing. How could I possibly want to do anything else? But you know what fine whatever, you were an abused child.
What really ticks me off is when they try and talk about it. It is fine, it isn't you, so don't pretent to fein interest.
What is funny, I took this group of friends to watch the dirt track saturday night races. And now they almost want to go with me to watch a nascar race next year...

I dont mind being thought of as a little unusual!

I think it really all has to do with upbringing. My dad was not into sports either so I didnt grow up watching sports. If he was a fan and I grew up watching I'm sure I'd be a fan as well.

I dunno... but it's definitely hard to find a common ground if you're a sports person and they're not. I"m a woman and I love LOVE college football. My husband and I avidly watch the games on the weekends. I don't think it would be very compatible for me if he wasn't into sports like I am. lol We have different teams that we like but both located here in Oklahoma so we're definitely a house divided. lol I'm Oklahoma State
and he's OU (stinks) lol
Wooo Hooo! OSU GO Cowboys!

I dont get how and why people quickly equate football will men touching each other in a homosexual sense. It about watching the best athletes in the world run as fast and they can and smash each other as hard as they can then get up and talk smack about it.
I wrestled for 12 years thru college. I have been thru it all with the homo erotic jokes.
Not that Im saying its a bad thing but people generally are disintrested in things they are bad at. Like I have no intrest in swimming. I am a terrible swimmer as far as competition goes. Why do I want to want a race to see who can save themselves the fastest.

I definitely dont agree with your logic there. I am 6'4", and in High School was about 200 lbs. I was a pretty good football player in gym class and was asked more than once to play for my school's team. Just didnt have any desire for it.
