my foam pre-filter catchall the bigger stuff,so for now i`m leaving the bio-media in, no problems yet. made some larger water changes after i first posted this thread and now tank is cycled and has a few fish and some shrooms...

I would actually wait until the tank is more stablized before adding in any sort of coral or softies!!! Mushrooms are more hardy, but you really should wait. :happyfish
