one of my emerals was acting strange for the past few days. on friday, it was out in the open near the glass (a sign of molting, i think). it was on the samd , moving slowly, and on sunday, i noticed that some of it's legs were not supporting it. they were up off the substrate and part of one of its hind leg was missing, and the claws were tucked under the body. i prodded it with a spoon but no movement. i then scooped it up and removed it from the tank. it had no odor. this morning it started to smell crabby. i would think that a molt does not smell.(?) it did show all the signis of molting, white body, out in the open, etc,,,
dead? or molt?
