Think my tank is finished cycling!?

I checked my levels yesterday and today and I have 0 ammonia, Nitrite and 5ppm Nitrate. Should I do a 10%-20% water change then wait a few days and check again and do another change? I've been cycling my tank with some uncured LR and a Damsel, that is doing well and seems happy, since 11/5. I hoping to add a cleaning crew and a fish or two soon, but not till I'm sure its all ok. I'm also going to use RO water from the store to do the change.

It sounds like your tank may be finished cylcing. I would suggest doing a water change (about 20%) and monitoring levels for several days after that. If all looks good, then I would say you're set to go.
Good luck!

I too think your tank has finished cycling (or at least almost done) Do a water change like said and check in a few more days.

I think that if you can't tell when your tank has finished cycling, then you had best get out and read yourself a good marine aquarium book...especially before getting any livestock.

I agree!!! I am new and have a number of books but I find it very reassuring to get advice from my fellow hobbyists.

Books can only take you so far....in defense of jack learning through actual experience is the best tool..so let it be, don't put people down that's just rude.

Thanks guys, I ment to say "its finished cycling" and your right, reading gets you a lot but its comforting to get input from few hobbiest who have been there before. Everyone is entitled to their opinions so Jack has his, no big deal. Thanks for the input....later all!
