i think its a good idea as long as you can keep it clean. and most of all keep a consistent temperature. meaning you will no doubt need to spend some $$$$$$ on chiller and heaters. do you know how many gallons it is? or the dimensions?filtration i would recomend putting tons of mangroves in it to avoid having to buy a huge skimmer. i would also recomend a fluidized bed filter and a uv sterilizer. overalll it is much more expensive than koi.:yes:but if you can afford it boy will it be worht it.:yes:

if u can, dig a little place right next to the pond and cut out a place on the side of the pond and put a glass panel in so u can view it from there
