Thinking about getting a Puffer, looking for some input..

So I have been searching for what my next fish may be and came across the Hawaiian Spotted Puffer and thought that he or she may be an excellent addition to my tank.. The downside is I do not know much about caring for these fish..
What are some of the need to knows about keeping these guys? And also will he or she eat my snails, I have Astrea, Nassarus, Trochus, some Cerith, and a fighting conch? I dont mind feeding hard shelled food as long as its not all of my snails..
The tank they would be going into is a 65g FOWLR, and its tankmates would be..

I actually just got a puffer Friday, he's adorable. He's a valentini. So far, he hasn't eaten any of my snails, but I've only had him a few days. Another guy told me to make sure I've got some kind of cover over the top because he had two go carpet surfing. How come you're gonna get rid of the sailfin?

.In a 65 i think youd be ok, IF you got rid of the tang.

Most puffers will chew and eat any invert they can. Those teeth aren't made for jello.

I heard that pufferfish do not puff out that often but if they do, they become really huge!
