and also what do you plan on having? If you plan on keeping the lighting that came with the tank, it rules out almost all corals except for mushrooms. It also rules out anemones, which doesn't matter except if you either wanted a reef or the cliche of the clownfish in the anemone.

Around 1.024 no higher then 1.025
You can
keep it 1.023 for fish only and should be around 1.026 to 1.028 for reef tank.

You should get 2 small powerheads for a fish only tank probly like 2 maxi jet 900's or something. Get a skimmer now and get a good one it will help alot with a salt tank. Gobies go good with clowns firefish, Damsles, Chromis, Baslets "only one per tank". I would say 4 or 5 mabey 6 small fish if you had enough filtrations.

Lets see, for a beginner, here's a good stock list, to be added over several months:
about a month after live rock/sand add maybe 15 blueleg crabs, 15 scarlet hermits, and 15 snails.(don't forget to throw a cocktail shrimp in to feed them)
A few weeks later add(if your water is tested and stable) the first fish of your choice. Most go with damsels or chromis, but don't bother unless you plan on keeping them, they're pains to try to get out afterward and the damsels become territorial, clownfish are hardy and these could be added(I would recommend two medium false perculas, one a bit smaller than the other) if your tank is good. Over the next several months, you could add about four more small, hardy fish. The book I recommended earlier could tell you about which ones(gobies, hawkfish, maybe 1 dottyback last)
