thinking of starting a 10g nano reef need help

Ok im going to college next year and i want to bring a nano reef with me but i would like to start it up now so it will be ready to go for next year what will i need to make is a sucsesful tank?

you should research now and start a tank when your at school this hobby can take up alot of your time its only a 10gl now but a couple monthe later your gonna want bigger

My school only lets a person bring up to a 10g and I have a salt at home so realy I want a 10g with maybe a clown fish some sand some live rock sand and maybe some small corral. what filters and if i go for a filter can I go for one thats used for a bigger tank then a 10??
