This dog has a tough life!

CB, 7 dogs...WOW. Love the comment of how you find them everywhere.
Ren, Cool and she is the type of dog that not only like to lay on the bed, but has to lay on the pillows on the bed.
Mimzy, she is part whippet and it is true when they are called 35 MPH couch potatoes. You must have some great pictures of your bassets looking comfortable when they are sleeping. Post 'em!
Now the other dog is another story. She must have some type of working dog in her because she never looks as comfortable. The only picture I have of her takes a story to appreciate it.
Grace was in my sweet loveable 11 year old daughter's room. She comes downstairs with a lable on her.
Me: "Amy?!"
Amy: "yes Daddy!"
Me: "Did you put a Kick-me label on Grace?!"
Amy: "..........yes"
Have to love a bored kid with a label maker.

Oh now.. That is the one and only problem with Maggie. We have a squirrel that lives in the bushes in our backyard and loves to tease Maggie. She can't handle it and would bark all day long at that squirrel if we let her. However there is not a rabbit in a 1 mile radius that would dare enter our backyard.

I agree with renogaw a sign of a comfy dog....is a happy home. I've got 2 dogs at the moment. One sleeps under the covers and the other we call pillow princess, she sleeps on the pillow and she doesnt care if your head is on it. She will lay on your head...many times I have woken up to my husband hanging half off the bed because the PUG was on the whole pillow. I love the pictures hopefully they will bring you many many years of love.

my dog sleeps spread eagle on it's back, wedged inbetween wifey and i. if i get up to go to the bathroom, my pillow is taken. that or it uses our feet for pillows, and our legs to support the spread eagleness.
i'd love to really find out who the master is in the relationship in his eyes...

Tobin, yeah if you are a dog you want to live with us. The BEST part about Maggie is the realationship she has with my son, who is autistic. It is pure love both ways. He will be sitting on the floor playing Nintendo and eating Doritos. She is a foot away just watching him, he will take a Dorito look at it and eat it, take another Dorito look at it and eat it, take another Dorito look at it and feed it to Maggie.

My animals are VERY VERY spoiled...The girls at work all think im nuts because...I have medical insurance on all my animals...which include 2 ferrets, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 lovebirds, 2 parrots, 2 parakeets and 1 cockatiel..I have house insurance to cover my 3 tanks as well....
..always be prepared lol

I thought she looked part wippet. They make THE BEST dogs! My avatar is Dinky, she's part wippet, part jack russel. Her personality is exactly as you described Maggie. 35 mph couch potatoe>>> sitting about a foot away, patently waiting for "her bite", she likes to sleep under the covers with her head out and on a pillow, just like me. She's definetly "my dog" funny how they seem to attach themselves to one person more than the others. Defintly loves everybody, er except the varmits that is. She can catch anything, even seen her catch deer ( she didnt know what to do though once she did, and turned tail when it stood it's ground).

Ms, That insurance is completely understandable. We spent $1200 to get a pacifier out of a dachsund.
Doc, So Cool! Whippet/Jack Russel Mix, Dinky must be able to jump over your head.
Love the description of "waiting for her bite". We got Maggie from the pound when she was 4 months. Somebody had returned this ultra-sweet, loveable dog because she chewed up too many things.
Funny about the deer too!
