I drive through Alabama every year when I go to Georgia to visit my family.
I take I-20 to Alabama, then 80 to Montgomery, and then 82 to Eufala where we cross into Georgia.
In Texas, little back roads and farm roads all have 70 mph speed limits.
The same roads in Alabama are usually 45 - 55 mph.
If your lucky, you get to a stretch of road where the speed limit is 60 - 65 mph, not that I follow it anyway.
I just find that kind of strange.
It's not like I'd defend Alabama anyway.
Everything about it is stupid and lame.
Thanks.
