with the exception of some Totally black lionfish that i think conogre used to have. it is called a blackfin lionfish. scientific name Parapterois heterurus

Good luck finding one, I searched all over the place and most people had never even heard of them. Those were the only pics I was able to find as well. You would have much better luck I think if you lived in Japan.

Finding tickets would be the easy part, finding one and then getting it back to the States would require a little work

Yeah. There were also some cool Pterois that i found and some Brachypterus species. I would post them but it would get a littole cluttered.

IIRC they are called bluefinned lionfish and they are japanese. I've seen two of them in my life. The magazine called KORAL ran an article about lionfish a few months ago and the author had a number of photos of these fish.
I suspect from its size and demenor it would be like keeping a dwarf fuzzy lion
