This is why I like All-Glass Brand Stands

The fact that I can flip the front of my canopy up and have 10" of room to work inside my tank is awesome, plus the double door allows me to work on the fuge. The stand and canopy are a little $$ but well worth it.

Yeah, they kinda have a screwy color selection. I actually called them and told them my 2 cents worth and that they needed to change the colors....

I also have a 75g All-Glass setup but can't stand the hood, when I ordered it I thought that it would be the same design with the flip up front part, but it comes with the standard canopy with the prop up top with no side access...

Very Nice
Mine is not as big but I agree the Mission style with a mega flow is a nice unit. I already want to upgrade.

mbootag, if you look real close at my photos above you will notice 4 silver dots spaced about 18" apart that are on the black frame around the top of the aquarium. These are 2 washers stacked on top of each other, what they do is stop the canopy lid from comming in contact with the aquarium and it creates a lot of air flow as it leaves about 1/4 gap along the front of thank and you can't notice it, you have your fans mounted the same way as I do. You can actually stand in front of the tank and feel the hot air being forced out thru this small gap, dropped my tank temp by 1.5. Also if they are evenly spaced like mine you won't warp the canopy

I just got the same stand and canopy and am having some heat issues with my MHs. I noticed both of you guys have large fans screwed to your canopies.
What direction are your fans blowing? Are they drawing cool air in from the back or are they blowing hot air out?

the main problem with aga hoods is that they dont give enough clearance for MH's. MH's need to be at least 12" from the water, Thats why i am having to go w/ a hanging pendant style on my 210.

12" from water? IMO this canopy has the perfect height for the lights, 12 away is a little bit to high, most light loving corals you try and place higher up to get as close to the lights as possible.
.
My fans blow across the tank from back to front, thats why I have the washers mounted on front of the tank, the hot air blows across and then down the front of the tank, I also have a ceiling fan thats aimed at the back wall to supply fresh air to the back of the tank, even with 3x250 and 4x96 my temp stays at 79 with maybe +- of .2

Great idea with the washers on the front! Brilliant!

Just out of curiosity, are you using AC or DC fans?
I rigged up an old computer power supply to run AC computer fans on mine.
The PC fans are more accessible a lot cheaper that the DC ones.

I'm running AC I guess, the ones that came with the lighting setup. Just for laughs here is the before and after with all the light cords.....I used a fireproof board thats about 14" x 18", I mounted it on spaceers so that it sits about 2 Inches away from the wall this way I can run the cords behind the board and give it a really clean look, I also have a fan blowing on the ballast to keep them a little cooler to prolong their life

Computer fans are DC not AC. You may be plugging your computer into an AC outlet but the power supply converts the AC into DC.

WoW! I've always been an Oceanic guy, but I like this All Glass set up. Much better than what I have.
Also, nice tank!
