Wow, crazy lady needs some antipsychotics! My husband works nights at PC Connection and he said they usually get one of those calls once about every 2 months(full moon???).
I'm surprised that he didnt hang up sooner. As soon as she started swearing and making threats he should have hung up. My husband had to be evacuated out of his building for a bombthreat 4 years ago by a customer who was so angry. He gets nasty letters wishing him death and doom, ect! There are alot of crazies out there. I see my fair share in my line of work too! OY. We can always tell when its a full moon. Thats when you look at the calander and think about taking a vacation for a few days!

I dont know if you have ever done telemarketing for a job but some days are so boring that a call like that would actually break the monotony and if you have made over quota already, you could very well sit there and let some one freak out like that just to amuse yourself and those around you.
when I was doing it I was telemarketing for a travel company calling back people that submitted there number for more details, A lady freaked out on me for calling her number and threatened "legal action" because she was on a "do not call list" I explained to her that the only reason I was calling was because She submitted her name and phone number and requested us to contact her. she went on to say "she didnt expect us to call her........." it said right on the site "If you would like a representative to call you enter your name and phone number in the boxes below". appparantly she was expecting ESP communication or something. she just proceeded to go up one side of me and down the other, I flagged over my manager and had him listen in on the call, he amused with it signalled others to listen in too, there ended up being 15 of us on the line listening to this lady rant and rave for about 5 minutes, the managers replayed the call at one of the monthly meetings and explained how I handled this irrational woman very well. in the end I sold her on the travel package. a good telemarketer can sell almost anyone.
I just hated telemarketing, in the end I quit because being abused by morons who fill out online applications and forms without reading them really is no fun.

I can see how calls like that can be used in training sessions. I'd probably get a kick of of wacko like that if I was doing that for a living.

I had a telemarketer call me one day about long distance back in the day. And not really having anything to do I listened to his sales pitch. After hearing it I asked so do you have this service he said yes. So then I said that is to bad, I've got this service and you know it is a better deal, here is why. Told him whatever the rates were I was paying. Next thing you know the guy gets the number for the company I had for the long distance service and said at lunch he was going to give em a call and switch. That was a bad sales call.
