I noticed today while feeding my fish i have little dots of pink and purple corraline algae on the glass. Is this a good thing? I know to scrape it off the front but can i leave it on the sides and stuff.

I had the coraline growing on the back and sides of my old 180. I scrapped the front and thats it. After a while (if conditions are right) you will get coraline growing on top of coraline forming plates. Thats when it really starts to look cool!
P.S. I got the most growth of coraline algea using Kalkwasser.

I don't even concern myself with the sides & back...I just scrape the coraline off the front glass and let the rest go.Stable water chemistry/good circulation/and a quality source of coraline are all vital to allow coraline to grow and expand.
