Is there either no one online right now that knows anything or am I on some sort of ignore list? I have posted a few time today and no answers. Yes I sound anry and that is only because I am getting frustrated with gluing and my protein skimmer. Please cooperate and help me someone. At least tell me you don't know the answers.
Can someone post specific directions on how and what to use when tring to glue coral on rocks out of the water and on rocks under the water. How long to hold them together. How to glue the on rocks that there is no possible way to put a rubber band on. Please!!! That is if anyone can answer it.

There is an underwater two part epoxy that is available at many places on the web which work well for coral frags and rock to rock gluing underwater. Above the water - there are many different glues (montly gels) that work very well. I don't have my brand at work with me <go figure> but if I remember I'll post it for you tonight.
(Have some patience. I know everyone wants answers quickly, but most people won't post an I don't know - can you imagine how many replies you'd get if everyone that didn't know bothered to post.)

Hiya!,
What sort of corals are you trying to glue? Softies? Hard corals? What types? I just logged on and hanve not seen your questions yet.
What are your questions about skimmers?
If I see your question I will respond there and make a post here saying so. I don't know everything, but if I can help I will try. There are a lot of knowledgeable guys and gals on here, but it may take time for a response because we all have activities outside of this site to tend to.

Sorry everyone. I lost my patients. God forgive me. I would go back to work also and wait awhile and check back and their were no answers. I suppose giving I don't knows as a reply would suck. I am finding out that my aqua systems 100 protein skimmer is a sucky skimmer I guess. What do you guys think. I just starting getting all kinds of little bubbles just pouring out of it. I that if you start adding new foods that the skimmer could react like that. I never had problems before. For gluing corals I did try the quicktite but it would not take unles I have the end of the coral and the rock exposed and dry. I was looking for something to put on the end of the coral and then glue it to a rock under water. mabe I was doing it wrong or puttin got much or not enough glue. I could not get a spone to stay down at all. That is hard because those should not even be exposed to any air. wel search for my other posted for today and let me know what you think. thankX

You're right about sponges, they should never be exposed to air. In a sponge case - no glue is "spogeworthy". I would find a way to situate a sponge so that is can't float away or be carried away by kinda lightly squeezing it between two rocks.
As for softies, I never glue them either. I just find a good spot for them and build a little rock trap around them.
LPS I either glue with underwater epoxy - see my second reply to this thread for a good underwater epoxy - or jam the skeleton into a good crevace.
SPS wild colonies (OK first don't buy them go aquacultured) second, use and underwater epoxy to stick them to rock.
SPS frags. I take the frag and the mounting rock out of the water and pat them dry with some towels. Then I glue just enough quicktite to cover the frag base and hold it to the rock for about a good 30 count. Don't use too much force as this can damage the frag. Just enough to have good contact. Then place in low to med. flow for a day or two. Then move the frag into place.
OT - don't worry about being impatient, we all have our days
