scam if i ever saw one.i posted a sectional couch on c-list this morning .
someone wrote back ilike the pic of the couch and the price is good.but i would have to pay with a cashiers cheque(not check)i am a very busy person so i have a shipping company take care of my shipping.then some bs about a ************* thing.this was posted 10 minutes after i posted the ad.
these scammers are quick.thesame thing happened the last time iposted something.i feel bad forthe people who fall for this stuff.

I know someone who messed with one of these people a little. They send him the check and he just kept dinging them around, sent them the check for the overpayment but instead of a check it was a note saying you're dead! with some salt and baby powder in the envelope. He never got a knock on the door from the FBI (nor the moving company to pick up the refrigerator) so I assume those he sent it too didn't take it seriously but could you imagine the screaming yellow crap storm had that envelope been torn while in the hands of the US Postal service?

Yep, someone who's in Europe on business if going to buy a refrigerator off craigs list then hire a shipping company to pick it up because he is away on a business trip

At one time not long ago I was going to downsize my tank. I was selling my entire tank and goodies. I got harassed by some nut who only wanted the power heads and not for the price I was asking.
He even had the nerve to post a site where he could get the same power head for less than what I was asking new (actually it was a smaller Koralia)..I told him to go buy from that site and leave me alone.
I don't think I will ever post on C-list again. They offer a page to read on how not to get ripped off like so many others on that site.

well got another one .some clown wrote .listen,you dont have to sell your gym(something else i listed because we are moving to a smaller home with more land in a couple weeks.cantwait to move the 250 gallon again)click on my tag and see why.well its some loser trying to promote hie work at home and make alot of money cra-p.
iv'e sold alot of things on c-list for friends its great except for these losers.
i'm sure there will be more.
think i have the couch sold already

cran ihave never seen anyone write cheque so ifigured it was a scam from elsewhere.

Went to college in sydney australia. they say Cheque, and as a result, sometimes I do too out of habbit. I think all english speaking countries say cheque. Here in the USA we dont speak "english" we speak "american"
