Well first of all i woke up testerday and could not for the life of me find my Niger Trigger, he is in with a dog face puff a pork a cow a halloween crab, hermits and snails and a engineer goby. Im pretty sure no one could of eaten him so i looked every where but to no avail. ( yes we loooked on the floor and behind the tank. But he is seemingly gone ???????????????
Second we went to the LFS and were buying a blue jaw trigger (a real beauty to)marked as trigger for $19.99 when another guy came up and told the newbie fish guy that he was the blue jaw after he was bagged and all so they tried to charge us $52.99 well we didnt get him. so my day yesterday sucked, just thought you all should know C-YA

did you check powerheads or filter. Sad, but maybe he died in a hiding place. Just a couple of thoughts. Good luck to you.

You really should locate this missing fish before you add another one to the same tank.If he is dead,and starts to decompose,Plus you toss in another fish,,this could cause your whole tank to crash.Plus not knowing what caused this fishes death could cause trouble with the new fish(not to mention everyone else in the tank)....You should wait till you have some answers before you rush into another addition to this tank...

Well the Blue Jaw was for my new tank, not the one with the puffs, but on a good note my wife found the niger about 15 mins ago so all is good

you should check any small crevices... we had the same thing happen to our trigger.. all the sudden came up missing, come to find out he was dead in a small crevice we didn't know he could fit, guess he got stuck and couldn't get out.. sorry for your passing

she found him in a hole in our LR where he was its a cave like hole covered by a large overhang and you just couldn't see him but he came out for feeding so like i said all is good we were just concerned to say the least.
