Well its about that time in my tanks life that it spawns a diary on the saltwaterfish.com forums. So here I go 1st time! WOOOOOOO!
Ok heres the tank as it is right now cycling.

Im going to eventually add a fake skull because I think that would be badass!
Heres the livestock I was thinking about:
- 2 false percs
- a mandarin spotted dragonet
- a pistol shrimp
- a pom pom crab
- a sally lightfoot crab
- a lettuce nudibranch
- fire shrimp
- bullseye pistol shrimp
- a MEXICAN TURBO SNAIL lol I just love that name that I need one
- and my cleaning crew
Too much?
And Ill be back to add more pictures if anything changes. Damn cycling period.

i would hold off on the mandarin for a long time, even then u should be looking at ways to feed it like buying tiger pods. try to find one that's eating mysis(its rare), also hatching brine shrimp and feeding them is also a plus

Ok Im dropping the mandarin because I want to have to raise other animals to feed it. So now Im thinking of a tag team pair of a firefin goby and a randalli shrimp goby.

Ive tested the water and here are the specs:
pH-7.9
Ammonia .35 ppm
nitrite 0ppm
temp 79 and climbing
Now what?

Thats actually my comp monitor. I only use my laptop for poratble studting and writing essays n what not.
And yeah I love that little skull. It just makes the tank look badass

Hey I got another question and since the last 1 hasnt been answered I hope someone might take pity on me and answer this 1. I just got my diatom bloom today and Im wondering if there is anything i need to do b4 spring break. I leave tomorrow at like 6 pm and I dont get back for 12 days. March 31st PLEASE help!

thatll be good for ur tank...it can cycle while ur gone and you wont have to look at it every day, and wish you could put stuff into it... when you get back test ur water, and then see if ur okay to add a damsel or a actual fish...

Updates!!!
Well I might be able to start putting some live stock into my tank!!! WOOOOOOOOOO. So heres an update on the water conditions:
Temp: 79.2
Ph: 8.3
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 0 ppm
and here are some pics. Im worried because the algae looks kinda brownish like the diatoms.

and heres a close up of the algae

Now I need some help. What do I do next?
