hello
today i found this AWESOME lfs store tht i went to for the 1st time and wow a tank with like 5 lookdowns in it a had everything from damsels, tangs, wrasses, fw fish and frehwater stingrays!
so anyways i was looking at their display and saw the mag float
i always wondered how good theese things work do the just scrape the glass without getting your hands wet with the magnet?
also i have a question about a Bio-Magnetic Clarifier..
i bought 20 lbs of ls tht came in a bag from the carribean sea company,, in it was a little pouch tht said bio magentic clarifier i read tht it helps clrify the sand quicker throughout the tank,
should i use by Deluding it in water and putting it in or should i not use it and skip out on it?
i wasnt sure if it was safe to dose a new tank becasue it has the word BIO dosent tht mean natural? or is it still a chemcial? i dont wanna dose a new tank with no fish in it with chemicals

thank you 4 your time

Can't answer your question n the Bio-magnetic clarifier, but I do have a mag float for my acrylic freshwater tank (it's specifically made for acrylic tanks as they make both). I LOVE it and can't believe I waited so long to get it. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

Yes, they do make one for glass, just make sure you don't use the glass mag float on acrylic, it will scratch it. I ment to say they make one for glass and also make one for acrylic. So either way you are good.

They work good for salt or freshwater tanks.

They make mag float for acrylic as well as glass. It is all in the fabric used that scrubs off thealage where the difference is at. Do not use glass magfloat on acrylic, or it willscratch, but yu can use acrylic on glass without a problem. The main thing is make sure yu get one that is sufficient for the tanks glass thickness..so it has sufficient magnetic pull to keep it tight on the glass for it to work properly.
