thoughts on feeding

I keep reading in many post that the main reason for the chemicals being off and a dirty tank is over feeding. So I was just wondering how often everyone feeds.

Trigger: A few pellets in the morning. Frozen Food in the evening. I chop up the 'cubes' into a few chunks and serve a couple different types at a time.
3 PJ Cardinals, Shrimps, Crabs (Different tank): Leftover frozen food from trigger in the evening.
I really like the Saltwater Multipack (by San Francisco Bay Brand). It has 4 different varieties of food in one package.

flakes in the morning for the clowns and damsel, sea weed for the blenny and puffer. Mysis shrimp every other night...occasionally don't skip a night. Pellets for the arrow crab every other day. Was feeding more, had problems, clean up crew hardly exists and didn't really clean up much.
