thoughts on live rock

If you add live rock to your tank just a little bit at a time(less than 10 pounds) and you already have over 80 pounds and 150 pounds or so of live sand and the tank has been up and running 5 months or so. Do you still think you need to cure the live rock? Or can the tank handle the load?

I honestly... just buy about 15-20lbs at a time and throw them in. I just make sure these rocks are cured though.. make sure you smell them all and if one smells bad throw it back. I havnt had any weird spikes by doing it this way. I couldnt afford to buy all the rock at once.. I did about 50 dollars worth every month or so...

i would cure the rock first. no need in taking risks that you don't need to.

IMO, it depends. If it is fully cured LR from an LFS and goes from their tank to yours you should be fine. But..... if it has been out of water for any period of time from shipping then I say you need to recure it.
