Three stripe damsel

I think in the Damsel world, temperment has to do more with size than type. I had a domino, three striped, and blue tailed and from what I found whichever is the biggest is the meanest. My domino was the largest and beat the crap out of the other two. SO i thought it was the fish itself, so i returned it to the fish store. Well a few weeks later the three striped started beating up on the blue tailed - because it was now the biggest fish.
All Damsels are pretty territorial, when they are juveniles and small they tend to not be as aggressive, but the larger/older they get the more mean.
This is just my experience with Damsels - i still have my three striped and blue tail.

Dear hobbyist ,I've had a three striped damsel before ,and the larger they get, the more aggressive they become . Mine even spawned in the aquarium , but the eggs would always get eaten up by the other fish . I presently have a 150 gallon aquarium with 12 fish ,and three of them are damsels . Damsels are territorial , very active ,and fun to watch, but should be placed with aggressive tank mates that will keep them in line .

thanks all for your respons i was afraid that was the answer i was going to get i realy like the way they look but i'm not willing to spend alot of money on fish and have one trying to kill the rest.
PS.... how big do damsels get anyway?

You can still add the 3 stripe as your last fish, that will minimize the chances that you will have it become aggressive in your tank. If you need to add any more fish, you will need to catch the little bugger... (not easy) and let the new fish get situated before you can put the damsel back in.
