nope, don't bother with them.
doa search for periwinkles. they are tide pool snails for a reason. they can survive being out of the water until the tide comes back in. until then, they close up and you have to keep dropping them in the water.
also, even in the natural ocean they breed like mad. imagine in your tank with no natural predators?
