Amazing tournament. The last hole was a bit anti-climactic but I can't complain. Probably the most exciting tournament I've seen.

So that ranks it just above watching grass grow and below watching water boil?

give a round for Rocco though. I mean it took Tiger 91 holes to prove he was better than #159 in the world. Tiger is amazing. All of his eagle putts, and the putt that forced the 18 round playoff were absoluteley stunning. he never lets me down.

wow what a tourney... Tigers 3rd Open win...
7th major win at Torrey Pines, second major this year (only 2 guys have won twice at some spot in 1 year, and Tiger has done it twice), and he was crippled.

To each their own, but if you watched that tournament and didn't find it engaging, you just don't like sports and competition.
Amazing effort by both guys and a fantastic golf course for the Open....Great weekend.....I even had a chance to go see Bob Fenner talk in Scottsdale on Saturday, choose the Open instead, Tigers back nine on Saturday was worth it.

Did you see rocco after practically bouncing it off the wall, pick it up. 50 gazzillion people watching pretent to toss it back into the fareway! Then after he misses his put walk up to tiger and make tiger hug him. I'm now a rocco fan!

As good as Tiger is, and I agree he is good, I still think he is over rated. It took him until the age of 31 to win 13 majors which is a great feat. But, Bobby Jones won 13 majors by the age of 28 and then retired. Just imagine what he could have done if he had not retired at such a young age.

WOW you are compairing a golfer 3 ceturys ago to the higher standards of golf and harder courses now.I don't know but I bet their is not as many good golfer then as their is now.I personally hate watching golf but I was drawn to it yesterday.I like how rocco was alway goofing off and not acting all serious. He was enjoying himself.

True, the courses are longer and tougher today but the equipment used today is far superior than the equipment used back then. Even the balls are made to fly further.

equiptment aside, the talent pool is far superior today... i would wager that Bobby would be a mid tier player in todays game... no comparison and there is no way Tiger is over rated...

tiger CANT be over rated...the man wins probably 8 of 10 times he plays a tourney if not 9 of 10...anyone that dominant deserves #1...bobby jones may have won more by the time he was 28 but if you look back at the number of people that played golf then and how they measured up...that would be like putting tiger on a high school team now...yeah you have good players but 1 is going to stick out...right now there are WAY more golfers from the european tour, nationwide tour, college...that can compete and have the ability to win at any tournament but tigers mental game is one of the keys that makes him so dominant over everyone else cuz he can handle it and not have a complete meltdown and have a BLOW UP like phil has a tendacy to do

oh and we all know hes #1 in the world, and Phil M. is #2. statistically, the difference between Tiger and Phil is the same as the distance between Phil and #299. that is unheard of in sports, and it will never be matched.
