if you're looking for a good one in the twin cities, you don't have to be too picky. Make sure to go to one that has a good saltwater selection and you'll be fine. some stores are more expensive but they all are pretty decent from my experience.

Darn. Saturdays i have to work in the afternoon. And sadly my money can not be spent on aquariums, at least that is what my parents say. I need a new computer and i have to pay for other (sad but true) more important things.

If you want to know what pet stores do with dead fish... the one I worked at fed them to his turtles when they were already dead. At *****, dying fish are put into the freezer to finish dying. The worst part is, they do this with ALL their animals, from snakes to birds to fish to hamsters. And not just if they're sick, they do it if their cages are overcrowded as well. That's why I HATE that place.

I will also tip my hat to Something Fishy and World of Fish. I also agree the World of Fish is a little better. Better priced too. Unfortunately you will run into pretty arrogant people at both locations. The prices are also not as good as many of the smaller shops. If you want to come down to Mankato we have a pretty good store here called Pet Expo. They have very knowlegable people in every department. Their "Aquatic Cove" as they call it is fairly nice although it is mostly FW stuff. They say they are working on knocking out a bunch of FW tanks and replacing them with SW stuff, although it sure is taking a long time. They have a 180 gal reef with 225 watt MH over it which is great for almost everything except they can't keep a SPS alive for anything. I also have a frequent buyer discount there and the staff is pretty friendly. But watch out, no one in the cove is good at everything. Some are great and corals and don't know jack about fish, others are the other way around.
