Timer for lights

I want to get a timer so that my lights will come on at the same time everyday. I saw that Coralife sells one but I was woundering if any light timer would work. I know Homedepot sells timers for out door lights would something like that work or dose it need to be for an aquarium?

I got my digital timers at Walmart. They have ones that you can set all different times
