Timer + Powerhead

What if i was to put my powerheads on timers. One goes for an hour and shuts off, and than the other one goes for an hour and than shuts off and back to the other one and so forth. Would that work some what like a wave maker. This way the current changes around the tank. Whould that work?

Yep. LFS sell timers like that that are just for that kind of thing.

Yeah i have 2 timers that are hourly. I think i am going to give it a try.
