Tiny black spots??????????/

Anyone ever had some tiny black spots, on a fish? I see some on a yellow tang and don't know if it's from the substrate or something else. New fish from LFS. Must not have been a good shipment.

Scale Flukes are mostly a Tang thing. They're pretty much harmless unless they get to extreme populations on the Tang (which can happen). It seems they are mostly a Yellow Tang disease, but the truth is that they are just more visible on the Yellows. Cleaner Shrimp are perfectly capable of fixing the problem but it takes time. Do a search on Black Ick or Black Spot and you'll probably find other solutions.

Black ich. Using formalin, give a 45min bath, every other day, 3-5 bathes. Make sure the bath water is areated with at least an airstone.
