Tiny Bubbles.....and glass algea

Hiya,
I've got a lot of tiny bubbles on my walls and LR. It doesn't look like bubble algea, I've seen that at my LFS. This looks like oxygen bubbles in a freshwater tank. I'm only running my filter system, no skimmer.
Also, I'm going through my diotom(sp) bloom and now have brown/green algea all over my glass. Can I scrap this off, or should I leave well enough alone?
Sorry about all the questions folks...this is new to me and I want to do it right.

Is this a newly set up tank going through it's cycle? If it is,just leave it alone until your cycle is complete. The bubbles will dissapear also.:D

Bigarn, yeap, it's only been up for 8 days now.
Good to know it's doing what it's supposed to do.
