my filters put out tiny bubbles that end up getting stuck on the side of my ritteri anemone's foot and its been giving off a slime/string from its sides im assuming, not its mouth
what can i do to get rid of the bubbles? and are the bubbles drying out the anemone and its side slowly rotting?

The slim is the anemone being stressed out. You should not have tiny bubbles. You have a problem with your filters and you have to stop it. The bubbles can kill yiour fish if they get trapped in their gills.

no fish in that tank yet, cycling ich, and the bubbles were coming from my filter, the water would drop a bit from the filter to the top of the water in the tank and cause tiny bubbles, i added more water and that fixed a few but there are still some bubbles, what should i do with the filter/currents pushing air down? the water is up higher than the slide the water comes down on the filter
as far as the anemone, unfortunately you are probably right but what would cause it stress? all my levels are perfect, it went in the tank a few days ago but shouldnt it have calmed down?

A few days...not yet, a week maybe for all the sliming to stop. Has it anchored itself down yet? Once he finds a happy spot things should be Okay.
As for the bubbles keep tweaking until you eliminate them. Sometimes time will take care of it. I have a skimmer that must be tweaked to stop tiny bubbles...it finally stopped as it aged..took about 8 days. Your problem seems a bit more complicated.
I have canister filters so my knowledge is very limited as to your problem. All I really know for sure is that tiny bubbles, called micro bubbles are bad to have.

its anchored itself down to the glass and hasnt moved yet, loves the flow in that spot, eats like a pig and seems fine other than the slime, was worse at first, now very little but wasnt sure if the problems were related
i had a skimmer hooked up but it just made extra bubbles so i shut it off, not sure how else to tweak the filter without butting the whole thing under the water

I have micro bubble coming out of my power head and I can't seem to tweak it enough to make the bubbles to stop coming out. They come out once in a while, not that often but enough for me to see them.
I'm not sure if it's the same with filters and power heads.

well i cant tell if the bubbles are coming out of my power head also since its so close to my filter, just seems to blow the bubbles that come out of the filter but might be coming from both

How high up is your power head?
Mine is pretty high up and if I don't top off often enough, it will start to suck in to close to the top of the water. This creates a funnel down to the head which traps air and makes the powerhead shoot out air bubbles.

I am so sorry I didn't notice that part...you have an easy fix!
You need an Auto top off unit
. Make sure it keeps the water level way over so it does no create bubbles. That is the problem I had with the overflow box of my skimmer.
Once the water level was constant my problem was solved. It is great for keeping my SG level perfect as well.

i thought about getting one, and i could see how it would keep them down, but not eliminate them seeing as the water is almost spilling out the top of the tank now, and there are still microbubbles

Can you lower the outflow tube, or overflow where the bubbles come from? If the water level is up...lower the problem device.

Okay I did some thinking...
You can use fluval filter pads, it is black and coarse. It could be slipped over the overflow and brake some of the water flow from making bubbles. Use clear fishing line to secure it.
They don't cost much, it is worth a try. You have to fix the bubble problem before you add any fish.
My overflow has such a material to brake the water flow from making bubbles so it might work for you.

im not really sure what you mean by overflow, i understand the pads, but not where the overflow is
thanks for taking such deddication to helping me, i really really appreciate it

I was thinking of the penquin type filter water is drawn up a tube and released back threw a lip that overflows back into the tank. If you have some other type, explain so we can figure out a solution to the problem.
Can you maybe get a picture?

thats what i have, a penguin, so the lip/slide thing is where i would tie the pad?
Yes. It isn’t made for it so you will have to improvise. Like I said, use the heavy clear fishing line. It "sews" (no needle just feed it through) real easy an cuts to fit.
Just a suggestion:
For a saltwater tank, if you don't use a sump and I don't...why not invest in a good canister filter. That is what I did. The penquins make little splashes and you will have a salt creep mess on the back of your tank in no time.
Keep me posted on how it works for you.

salt is already everywhere, and i have a fuge on top of the tank, i might look into a canister filter but until then, ill try the pad tomorrow when i go out
could i just use a new charcoal filter back instead of a pad?

No, you will be using the material to break the water flow and hopefully stop the micro bubbles. It might not even work. It is worth a try.
The pad is much thicker than the backing you’re talking about. When you see the pad you will understand. You won't need to use the whole pad...save the extra because it will have to be changed periodically.
