I have a ton of small little star fishes in my tank. I have been picking them out everyday but I can't seam to get ahead. I have heard there is a shrimp that will eat them but I also have a sand sifter and two other serpeantsthat I do not want to harm. Does anyone know of any solutions to getting rid of the small star fish?

Are you talking about astrina starfish??

If so, they are completely harmless.
yah, I've got a few hundred, even though my tank started with maybe 3, 6 months ago. The keep my glass clean :) eventually they get to about dime sized and look pretty cool actually if they've developed all their legs

Yes, those are them. They are spreading very rapidly and I cant seam to get rid of them. I have also been told if they are left alone they will eventually smother the corals in the tank.

Yes...if the conditions are right. But like we all said previously....they will not harm your fish or corals. They are beneficial in eating left over foods and detritus.
If you really don't like them, you can always get a Harlequin Shrimp. All they eat are starfish.

They multiply because they have food. So it is quite possible you have a nutrient issue. If they don't have enough food, they won't continue to multiply to such levels.
The idea of them smothering corals is hype.

There are predatory species. They are rare but they exist.
They do not "become" predatory so if you see them on the glass or on hard surfaces...or you do not have any corals...then it is unlikely you have a predatory star.
But the majority of species people seem to get, do not eat corals.
