I just noticed yesturday that I have a lot of tiny white spots stuck to my glass and the airline going to my skimmer. I have done a search and I have narrowed it down to some things that it is not: It is very tiny white things that looks like a piece of lint. It is not in a spiral shape but more or a straight line. It does not appear to move and I even looked at night and it is not moveing. I can run the magnite over them and they will rub right off very easy. All test seem to be fine except nitrate but it is only 20. Any have any idea what this could be?

Yeah that is what a amphipod looks like under microscope. Copepods are smaller more round shape... There are thousands of different types of pods all looking different. I guess I should have asked you whether they have legs? If it looks more like an animal or stationary object. If it looks like a little white pinapple then you are fine. Dont worry they are a good sign of good water quality...

Sorry pic came up slow.
I have some of the larger pinnapple looking sponges on some LR would this possibly spreading?? It is still hard to see and the seem to be the same width unlike the pinnapple big at the bottom. I have also watched them really close and I don't see any movement.

OK so rule out the sponge (pinapple) I would think that they are maybe worms then. If they dont move, Can you get a better picture, are they tubes? More info needed....

If it is a pinnapple sponge would this many cause a problem and what if I cleaned them off of the glass. If you have any other ideas or can point in the right direction for research.
