tiny white swirls

i am noticing a growing number of tiny white swirls on my glass...until you look close they look merely like white specs...what could this be?

no i will check that out right now...i also have larger white worm like looking things on a piece of lr they do not seem to move thoug....

i looked at the hitch hiker thread i think they are Serpulid polychaete

I have those...don't know what they are either

they are just harmless filter feeders

They stay the same size, dont move either, it seems to me that they're like embedded in the rocks..weird.

i have the same type on my lr they are like little white worms all over my rock but my tank has never been better. would love to find out what they are.

i have these as well. what are the benefits of having these in the tank?

If you don't like them, (I used to have them and haaated them), I suggest the following: If you have any old light switch covers, they're plastic and go over the switch, you can use the edge to scrape them off every now and then. It works well, and over time, mine seemed to have slowly either died off or got eaten.
