TO ADD ANGEL or NOT TO ADD

Been looking at the Koran or Emperor Angel to add to my 100g. Currently have a V. Lionfish, Clown Trigger, Goldentail and Mexican Jeweled Eels. Would an Angel fit in or will I be overstocking? Any conflict between fish (besides trigger and lion)? Any help is appreciated.

You can get Juvi's but eventually they get too big its better to start out big with those fish. Angels can be put together as long as you have good rock work and put them in all at the same time.

You could also do a pygmy angel if your unsure (flame or coral beauty are both nice), and your tank would definitely be big enough for a pygmy.

A pygmy angel wouldn't last long in that tank. Between the Lion, Trigger and Eels, something would surely gobble him up.
I think you would be alright with the angel as long as you get at least a decent sized Juvi. This is of course assuming you will be able to keep the Clown Trigger off of him during his introduction into the tank.

Koran or Emperor Angel would be fine as long as your filter is up to snuff.
The fish will get along fine.
its only 100 gallon! all of ur fish can grow quite big. volitan lionfish 8 inches easy, clown trigger 8-10 inches, and the eels. they r all big eaters! angels need good water quality. its hard to keep water level good with these many messy eaters.

You don't think a juvi on the larger end would make it? Something like a 4 inch Juvi I think would have a chance, anything smaller than that you are asking for trouble.

IMO a 100 is not a good long term home for a large Angel....Any plans for an upgrade? Angels are much more demanding of space and water quality than most fish we keep in "aggressive" set-ups.
Clown Trigger will outgrow a 100 as well, and get very nasty the bigger he gets and the smaller his home seems to him. A 4 inch CT is a very different fish in personality from an 8 or 9 inch CT.

Planning an upgrade end of the year or early next to a 180g.
180 would be a more suitable home....Keep those Eels well fed, and keep an eye on the CT as he ages....I know Sk8shorty has one with a Lion (or did), but they are typically not considered good tankmates. In fact a lot of people don't like to see Lions with "big angels" either. Lions get classified as "aggressive" because of their predatory nature, but they are often picked on for being so lethargic and slow moving by the big Wrasses, Triggers, Puffers and even Angels we keep in "Aggressive" tanks. Their big long fins are too enticing.

Dont mean to hijack....just wondering if you have any problems with it eating your corals? I have been considering one..

I can see an angel staying alive till the upgrade, I will be buying a juvi 4-5 inches. He'll be about the same size as the trigger and not small enough were he will end up as food.
