I'm getting hitched and me and the wife will be in ORLANDO the first week of August. Was wondering if all of you could/would help me with something? Would like to go to a few LFS while we are there, could you post names and address'/or areas of town? Also would you post a few good places to eat that won't cost an arm or a leg? And finally is there anything that is a must not miss in Orlando or surrounding area,( that a tourist should know about, since this is the first visit to Orlando). Would like to thank all of you in advance for your help! MIKE
P.S. is there a snorkeling rental store near Orlando or surounding area that I should look into.

Waterfaller can you add me to your buddy list to do private messages? I hate to put my e-mail out in the open.
Anyone else?

I am in Orlando, but it is a big city so I cannot really tell you where to go. there are a bunch of fish stores in the Orlando and the surrounding areas. I would suggest talking to Carole aka. Waterfaller she works at an awesome fish store on the weekends she can give you directions. :happyfish

Also, Where are you staying? There are hundreds of restuarants in Orlando and the surrounding area. IMHO - You can never go wrong with "The Ale House" - great drinks and great food. And as always - the lunch buffet at "Rachaels" is great also... :D

Thank you to SALTYJ, ROSS, AND TONGA-MAN(really like that one,"RACHELS"). I'll try to check them out. We'll be staying on Universal Blvd. across from Universal Studios, if that helps out anyone else with some ideas.

Since you will be staying just about smack dab in the middle of tourist central there are many places to eat / drink / party. Universal has City Walk – an assortment of restaurants and clubs. I would try walking up to Emerils and see if they have any cancellations if you don’t mind spending a few $’s. For good, cheap, local seafood I would drive north on 435 (Kirkman Rd) about 7 miles and turn right on Old Winter Garden Rd, two block on your left is a place called Lee & Ricks Oyster Bar. It’s been there for years (30+). Have a seat at the bar, grab a pitcher and let them shuck ya up a bushel! The Ale House isn’t to far away. Just as at your Hotel how to get there. There are literally more places to eat and visit then you could imagine. Just stay away from International drive for dining, the traffic sucks and the prices are high. There is a good skydiving simulator there though!!!
